We install access panels at no extra charge
KleenAir's expert service technicians will assess the portions of your duct or riser that require additional access panels and install them at no extra charge. If you can't get inside a duct, it is not possible to clean it effectively.
Many duct systems lack access panels
Many duct systems, whether they are kitchen extraction units, laundry exhausts, ducted ventilation systems, air conditioning systems or any other types of ducting system, do not have access panels when they are installed - and if they do have access panels, they are normally only big enough to fit your arm in, and there is hardly ever enough to do the job properly; we always climb inside the duct if it is big enough.
If you can't get inside a duct you can't clean it
Sadly often when we first meet new customers they tell us proudly that they already have their kitchen extraction unit, laundry exhaust, air conditioning system, ducted ventilation system or general duct systems serviced on a regular basis, as they know how essential this important preventative maintenance is. They feel very embarrassed and exploited when we point out that their previous duct cleaning company has not cut access panels. If you can't get inside a duct, you cannot clean it. Out of sight, out of mind does not take the risk away - ignorance is not bliss.
KleenAir is the ethical duct cleaning company - we do not take shortcuts.
If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right! We only charge you for our work - not to have our lunch on your roof while you think we are eliminating the hidden hazard. Some companies that we know of think they can clean your duct by pouring dangerous harsh abrasive chemicals down it. This is simply not true - it is a shortcut. Not only is it dangerous, it also considerably shortens the life of your duct as the harsh chemicals cause corrosion very quickly. The only way to effectively remove the hazard posed by a ducting system is to get inside it manually, scrape the grease or other build up out, and then sanitise it with a MAF approved disinfectant.
Our access panels are installed the right way
Once we have cut an access panel and removed the buildup from inside the duct, we seal the hole with a galvanised panel, silicone and tech screws. This prevents a loss of suction and pressure in the duct and avoids the rain getting inside the duct.
